Maddie Farrell

Maddie is coaching the 16 black national team this year. She has been coaching for 8 years; 6 of those years have been with Iowa PowerPlex. Maddie is a defensive specialist and libero from Waukee, Iowa. She played volleyball for 4 years at Waukee High School. She also played softball and ran track earning varsity letters in all 3 sports, including honorable mention in the CIML conference for softball her senior year. Maddie has been playing volleyball for over 14 years. She has coached both volleyball and softball. She played club volleyball in central Iowa for 4 years and almost had an undefeated club season her senior year. Maddie continued to play noncompetitively at the University of Northern Iowa where she graduated with a degree in Interactive Digital Studies with an emphasis in computer science and business and minored in both marketing and graphic technologies. Maddie worked in the UNI athletic department for 3 years and Drake athletic department for one. She now works full-time at Lutheran Church of Hope as the Website Team Lead. Maddie gives volleyball lessons to all age groups and helps at various camps throughout the year.
