Iowa PowerPlex Volleyball Club is Iowa’s premier volleyball organization for amateur volleyball players in Iowa. Established in 2008 PowerPlex is a club devoted to the development of not only the volleyball player but the athlete in general.  A combination of skills and athletic development give the athlete the right avenues to succeed.  Members of Iowa PowerPlex will receive the best in coaching, the finest professional philosophy, the best strength/ speed coaches and state of the art training facilities. The members will receive instruction from coaches who have played, coached, evaluated and developed at the highest levels of athletics.  As Iowa PowerPlex players continue in the program, by age 17 and 18, Iowa PowerPlex teams historically have put the best teams on the court.

The teams will compete locally, regionally and nationally in competitive volleyball tournaments.  Since the formation of PowerPlex in 2008, PowerPlex volleyball is changing the way we view amateur volleyball.  First class and always professional, PowerPlex volleyball understands youth development and the importance of not just succeeding now, but getting better from day to day and year to year.

Summer Club Tryouts for 12U-14U & 15-18u for the 2021-2022 Season

Iowa PowerPlex will now begin it's 12th season as a premier volleyball program.  Every year we make strides to improve our training and this year will be no different.  We are the biggest club in Des Moines and look forward to sharing our knowledge and background of 65 plus coaches with you.  Please note we do urge all players to attend the JULY 24th Primary Tryout.  If they are unable to attend this date they can attend the earlier Secondary Tryouts and email directors@iowapowerplex.com

Please make sure you are signed up for the correct age. Double check age definition here.

NOTE- this is the 2020-2021 age definition as the region has not yet updated this info. Please use the next year up to register your player for 21-22 season. ‍

15-18U‍

July 24th- PRIMARY Tryout

15U- 8:30-10:30 @Horizon- check in 8:00 am

16U 11:30-1:30 @ Horizon- check in 11:00 am

17/18U- 2-4pm @Sportsplex west check in 1:30

July 12th-Horizon Event Center- Secondary Tryout- For those who CAN NOT attend the July 24th date.

15/17U-- 5-7pm at Horizon- check -in 4:30

16/18U- 7:30-9:30 @ Horizon- check in 7:00

10-14U

July 24th- PRIMARY Tryout

13U- 8:30-10:30 @SPW- check in 8:00 am

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE IOWA REGION - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

  1. Clubs may not start recruiting players until July 12, 2021.  This is due to a clarification because of the cancellation of the USAV Indoor National Championships.
  2. Starting July 12, 2021 clubs may offer a commitment for the 2021-2022 season to existing club members with an early signing deadline. The deadline for the early signing period will be 11:59pm of the Sunday before the start of the Iowa High School Volleyball Season.
  3. Iowa PowerPlex has the right to offer players at any time. Players and their families can communicate about possible openings and coaches will reach out via email and phone to make official offers.
