about Kalei

Kalei played high school ball in Washington, starting at the age of 10 through Kent Juniors Volleyball Club.  During her high school career, she earned numerous honors like All-Conference and being the Regions leading blocker her senior year. Kalei continued her athletic career at Lewis-Clark State College where she was a middle and right side hitter.

Kalei’ was the Ohana VBC from 2015 - 2023, where she started coaching the 12U Black Team. Kalei then joined CVA for one year, earning top 5 finishes at all travel tournaments.  Along with coaching club, Kalei served as the Head Coach of the Saydel High School program for a season before joining the Ankeny High School Volleyball program as the Varsity Assistant Coach for two seasons.  In her time as an Assistant Coach, the Hawkettes went a combined 53-16, and qualified for the Iowa Girls State Tournament. Kalei joined Iowa PowerPlex in 2024.
