JESS CALLAHAN

About Jess

Jess had an impressive high school career being a two-sport varsity letter winner in basketball and volleyball. She earned Xavier’s team award of MVP for volleyball, all while earning many All-Conference honors including Honorable Mention All-Metro two years in a row, and All Academic honors. Her teams for basketball and volleyball both made it to the state semifinals her senior year. She played club at both Adrenaline Volleyball Academy and Iowa Rockets as a setter and right side hitter.

She continued her playing career at Luther College as a six-rotation player as setter and right side. She was Honorable Mention All-Conference, and a two-time American Rivers Conference All-Academic student-athlete. She earned offensive player of the year and team MVP her senior year. Jess joined PowerPlex in the winter of 2021 and was part of the 12-1 Elite Red team that earned a bid to Nationals, alongside coach Natalie Sieck.

  • Xavier High School - 2 sport varsity letter winner - volleyball and basketball. 2X MVC All-Division, 2015 & 2016 All-Metro Honorable Mention, 2016 4A State Semi-Finalist for volleyball. 2016-2017 Academic All-State and 2017 4A State Semi-Finalist for basketball. Played club for Adrenaline Volleyball Academy and Iowa Rockets

  • Luther College - BA in Business Management and Minors in Spanish and Psychology, magna cum laude. Volleyball player all 4 years receiving Honorable Mention All-Conference her senior year.
