About Jenna
Jenna (Sheirbon) Ortmeier was a 4 sport letterwinner in high school. She earned KCCI Athlete of the Week honors her senior year, as well as All-District honors for volleyball. She continued her volleyball career at Grand View University where she specialized as a Libero/DS, and even participated in intramural indoor volleyball.
Jenna started her coaching career at PowerPlex in 2018 coaching the 13U Regional team. She then took a few years off and came back in 2022. In 2023 Jenna and Shannon Henkelman’s 14-1 team won ShowMe to earn a bid to USAV Nationals. They competed in the American division, placing 27th. In 2024 Jenna and Shannon Henkelman’s 15u team won both Northern Lights and Iowa Regionals, double qualifying them for USAV Nationals. They competed in the National division, placing 31st.
